Application Photo Gallery

We have a professional application facility in AZ. where we apply for stereo shops, new car dealers, car club members or other personal vehicles. In these photos you will notice varying types of equipment that you may not have. The Schutz gun available on line will work fine for the do-it-yourself type application. This product can be brushed, rolled or troweled on, however, it goes on more evenly and thicker per coat with the Schutz gun. If you can get access to compressed air, We highly recomend purchasing a Schutz gun for your application! If you are interested in opening a professional application shop in your area, please contact us for licensing and bulk pricing information. We use a Graco Bulldog 33:1 pnuematic pump or a Gmax 5900 pump at 2200 psi with a .035 tip. When we need more control and less overspray, we use a Binks 2001 gun with a 59BSS fluid nozzle, a 559 fluid needle and a 252 air cap. We hook the Binks gun to a 2 gal. pressure pot and run about 60 lbs of air and fluid pressures.

NOTE: you can thin this material with up to 5% water if needed. Start with 1% and add water gradually until you reach a viscocity that works for your application. If you thin it to much, the solids will begin to "fall out" of solution and you will have problems! Please thin gradually! Also remember that the more you thin it, the more labor you will expend in applying additional coats. It is shipped in a state where one thick coat should do just fine.

Please follow the we have included some basic directions below for applying to wheel wells and trunks. The basics of these applications apply to any area where you may want to apply StealthKote.

  1. Clean area to be coated. Sand it if it is a shiny slick surface like HDPE plastic.
  2. Mask the areas around the area you are coating to protect those surfaces.
  3. Spray the StealthKote material on in a side to side sweeping motion with a Schutz gun hooked up to an air compressor if possible, or apply by hand. Build it as thick as you can. Apply two coats if necessary.
  4. Let it dry a couple of hours. (warm dry air with a fan will accelerate the dry time)
  5. Set your performance expectations out about a week to allow the product to cure fully, then listen for the silence!

Spraying the Trunk

Make sure you get all the cracks and corners.

Remember, more is better. Stealth Kote can be put on very thick before it will begin to run.

Spraying the Wheel Wells

(Wash the wheel wells and let dry to prevent dirt from loosening the application bond.)

Standard floor jacks are all you need to get under the wheel well.

If you cover the surface area right up to the wheel well just spray away. Just make sure the mechanics of the wheel assembly are covered

Be sure to coat the wheel well as heavily as possible. Spray Stealth Kote on the metal and the plastic.

Use a light source to gaurantee everything is coated.
